Exclamation Been Serialized??????

Just called the VOPC Sept 12th Clean and Un.. Today states as of Sept 14, your vehicle has been "Serialized"

What does this mean? I still have to wait for a build date? Then I have to wait for a delivery date? Does this mean that after 8 weeks I have to wait another 8 weeks..

It seems that some of you receive build dates, then you receive your trucks about another month later or so.

Can anyone shed some light on this process and time-line.

Thanks

I ordered on the 14th of july and they said as of the week of sept 11 your vehicle has been produced with est delivery of sept 25th.

I never heard a "serialized" message or clean and unscheduled.

I would think yours will be due shortly, as mine was scheduled to be built the week of the 18th originally.

Just called VOPC this morning. Finally the message has changed. It now says as of 9/19 I have a scheduled build week of 9/18 with an estimated arrival of 10/16. It had said for the longest time as of 8/17 with a scheduled build week of 9/18. I don't know why they project out "as of dates" todays date is 9/15.
When I 1st started calling I was clean and unscheduled, then it went to serialized, then the "as of 8/17" message.

Cool

As of yesterday, V.O.P.C states "As of Sept 14th, your vehicle is scheduled to be built Oct 2nd"

Yippiiii, I hope. Anybody else get a build date recently other than 9/16 or 9/18?

P.S. today the VOPC stated it could not give an update and was swithing me to a representative... I quickly hung up.

Don't know if I'm shedding any light on the process but I ordered the vehicle on Aug 2nd, the dealer kept telling me order was accepted but he didn't know the build date, checked VOPC and got the schedule of build week of Sept 4th with delivery of week of Sept 25th. Checked on Sept 7th and found out the vehicle was built. On Sept 11th, vehicle was released to carrier on Sept 9th. Dealer called Sept 15th to tell me the SuperCrew arrived and looks great. Hope to see it soon.

Don't get nervous if the system give you a "no update" message. It just means the system's off line at this time. Most likely for updating. Just give it another try a few hours later.....

Also, "Serialized" means the vehicle has finally been recorded in the order system and there are no problems with the order itself and it's now got it's assigned VIN. After that, the dealer's notified by a printout they get of the ETA's for their current orders.

All you have to worry about now, is making sure your "Locked-In" build date shows up soon. My locked-in date is 09-18 with a delivery of 10-3 now. That's from 10-23 a few days ago.

As of tonight, VOPC is giving me the same message as Vesjas recieved, that "As of Sept 14th, your vehicle has a scheduled build week of Oct 2nd". Looks like I may have my truck in October like the dealer promised afterall.

Does anyone know how to get a VIN out of VOPC if all you have is the dealer code, model year, body type, and order number, or do I need to call the dealer and have them provide me that info through their computer system?

Current car: '93 Probe GT lots 'o mods (sold! waiting for buyer to pick it up)

rpfb,

You need to call the dealer to get the VIN. VOPC assumes you have the info already. The dealer should have been sent a copy of the VIN list already for scheduled orders. They're sent on a regular basis.

He can also check in the Ford computer right on his desk if he has one there.
