I left out the front license plate bracket :-D (O guess I was too excited) but I did add it to the Signature so it should be there now...

I'm off to Pep Boys to get some Leather cleaner, a Clay bar and some Mothers wax now. I got a big job ahead of me today...

I was also wondering whether or not I should have the dealer "clean" it before I pick it up. The plant is less than 10 miles away from the dealer so it will be "factory-fresh." My luck some part-time wash boy would take a brush to my nice, new solid black truuck

 

My humble opinion - Moonroofs are personal preference. I wouldn't have bought a Screw without one. When I started shopping - 4 wheels, steering wheel and Moonroof were the three staples. I love it and wouldn't want it any other way! Side note - be extremely cautious about after market Moonroofs. My past experiences - they leak and are not half the product that is installed at the factory. If you can afford the option - get it - you probably won't regret it! Brad.

 

Kkirt1: My dealer ran mine through a touchless carwash when I picked it up. It had been waxed prior to going on the lot as well.

OK folks! on 8/11 I placed my order W/O the moonroof. 3 weeks later I was back there, gave a ride to a friend who needed to pick up a SporTrac. While I was waiting I asked for the keys of an Expedition with a moonroof to test it out. Needless to say when I got back to the dealer, I walked up to the salesman I ordered thru and told him to tack on a moonroof to my order!

It hadn't been given a build date so I was glad to hear there shouldn't be any delay. I have since received a build date of the end of this month sometime.

I was suprised by how nice that moonroof was, and glad I'm getting it now!! thanx for the opinions!!

The moonroof was the "only" reason that we bought the truck. Actually the moonroof was the first thing we noticed on this truck and from there it just kept getting better. Good luck on the wait, it's long, I know.

While waiting for my Super Crew to be delivered, I was forced to rent a vehicle to attend the "Brickyard 400" in Indianapolis.
It happened to be an Explorer with a moon roof. I played with that puppy for 200 miles.
I would definately order one if I had to do it all over again.
