New truck/quick question

Hey guys, I recently traded up from my 04 ranger to an 03 screw FX4. Im loving the new truck and couldn't be happier with all the new room/power. I used to spend a lot of time over on ranger-forums but this place seems to be just as full of good info. Anyway, I've noticed that like many other trucks when you switch to brights you loose your fog lights. My light output on this truck is less then impressive and I was wondering if there is any bypass or quick mod to keep your fog lights while having your brights on? on my ranger it was only a matter of cutting & splicing one wire.. but I have searched here and found nothing so far. Thanks for your help!

Here are a few quick pics of the truck:

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the quick responses! Im assuming these '04-present mods will work the same on my '03? Ill have to check it out when I get out of class today.

Thanks for the comments on the truck too! I love it so far, and can't wait to start pouring some hard earned money into it haha

Sorry, you were pointed the wrong way. The 04-08 MY fog lamp control is much different than the 97-03 MY.

Here is the link to the 97-03 MY fog lamp modification

http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/how...s/foglamps.htm

This requires changing the power source to the fog lamp switch, as well as modification to the switch.

Sounds bad, but it is easy to do.
Here is the diagram for the modified fog lamps

I never use my fogs because they only work if you manually turn them on, not an option if you use the auto on/off mode. Just about the only complaint I have with my truck. The 01 Expedition I had before this truck had a separate switch to turn the fogs on & off and if left on, would come on when the lights automatically came on (from the light sensor). I wonder if they changed this on later models...

The modification above shows how to modify the ramp so the fogs can be turned on in the auto position as well.
Another indent is cut into the switch on the other side of the off position.

The 2004-2008 MY trucks, the fog lamp switch can be pulled out in any position other than off.
