SCrew MPG
On the Highway with cruise set at 72 mph-I can get about 16.5 mpg and about 360 miles to a tank.
I run mostly 89 octane, sometimes fill up with 91 now that the prices are low.
I'm taking it in for it's 100k tune up so I'll post updated mileage later this week.

06 FX4 Screw, stock tire size, edge programmer on 2 and MBRP SI/SO exhaust. I've had the truck just over a year and average 16.3 + or - .5 on every fill up. Around 80% city 20% hwy.

Its a big heavy truck! Dont expect miracles. We have 2006 fx4, 5.4L 3:55 ls axle, 20 inch wheels and a K&N air filter. On our trips to Florida from Canada the best we get is 19mpg if I keep the speed under 70 on the interstate. If I get lazy and and start cruising up the 80 the mpg drops to 15 or 16. All I can suggest is keep your rpms around 1500 for the most optimum eta. City driving gets about 14 mpg. Love our truck and will keep on truckin' till it really hurts.
I have a 4.6 08' 4x4 screw with 3.73 rear. Only mods are Gotts with K&N, Gryphon with custom tunes, I run the 87 Performance, and a Flowmaster delta 40. Average I get around 16-17. On a mainly highway run, according to the Gryphon average MPG readout I got 22, and that was about 140 mile trip mainly highway at around 60-70 MPH. The past few fill ups have averaged 16 MPG and I usually fill up around 1/4 tank and I have 300-350 miles there with the 30 gallon tank.
I know I could get more, but I have a heavy foot.

My 2006 5.4L 4X4 with LT275/70R18 pulling my 22H Nash over Thanksgiving averaged 9 MPG. That was very hilly trip but mostly at sea level. I was happy with that. I hope to get 10-11 during the summer on the interstate...I hope.
got a new screw 2010 4.6 The first few tanks of gas I was getting like 15.5 to 17.5 in the city depending on the wind, how long I sat in traffic, etc. and right at 21 on the highway. I guess the rings are seating since I have 1k miles on it now cause my gas mileage has gone up to about 23.5 from my last tank. I forget.. I drive 60 or less on the freeway most of the time and believe me you can get way more going under 60 than 70 or so. I also am fixing to change my oil to 100 percent synthetic and Mobile 1 has a 5-20 weight that is specifically for gas mileage, so it says on the 5 quart jug. Then run a few tanks and see what happens with that. My computer has been pretty close to my hand calculation by .4 tenths

I might need some stuff tuned up tho i guess. lol

For Grunthunter:
I must say that I did not see any improved mpg with the K&N air filter. That was a bit disapppointing. But when you really consider what automotive enginerring is trying to do to improve mpg I dont think after market equipment will do much far as fuel economy . Now i think there is a place for aftermarket for power imprvement if you are really in to that. The main purpose for the change was to avoid the paper filter replacement costs.
Happy New Year to all
