Is there any way to turn off the feature of having the interior lights come on when the keypad is touched? I don't like the idea of anyone being able to look into the truck so easily, it kind of defeats one of the reasons I have tinted windows all around.

Funny you should ask that. When I was on vacation last month I was checking out someones Screw in the hotel parking lot and his lights didn't come on when I hit his key pad. Maybe there is a way?????

You could get a hold of the wiring schematics and try to disconnect the illumination switch, but at the same time, you will disconnect the illumination for the actual touch pad. Why not add an aftermarket alarm? That is what I did, and it's great. If you lock your keys in the car, YOU can still get in, but if some idiot decides to play with the buttons, the instant the dome light comes on the alarm goes off.

 

What alarm system did you have installed???
