Is there any way to talk to factory direct you know man to man
Does anyone out there in the vast wasteland of "Waiting For A Screw" have the phone for the factory in Missouri or Kansas or whereever they build these. Cause I sure would likr to talk to someone besides a sales clerk that just takes info. and your money and says I will call your order in. Sorry just very frustrated after seeing all the horror storis on waiting list. Later BDWB
Dear BigDaddy,
Yeah, I know where you're coming from. My dealer (fleet mgr.) promised me 6-8 wks. I expedited it every week. After 5 weeks, no VIN set up. Getting frustrated, I called info, got KC plant phone number. and asked for anyone in production. I got a hold of this nice gentleman. He said, he could do nothing for me unless I had a VIN. He suggested I call my territory representative or zone manager. I called my dealer back and asked them who it was for my area in Orange County. They gave me his phone number. I called him and explained my problems. You see, I needed my S'Crew for a vacation I had been planning for over a year. He was very nice and I got the fleet mgr. in trouble big time for making promises. As it turns out, my dealer didn't have any allocation for this vehicle. They had to find me one from another dealer, which was hard to do, according to my specs. After about 2 weeks of looking, they found one I could live with. It was a big hassle, but you have to do what you have to do. I can't wait 'till the Ford report card comes asking my opinions.

I guess you can't expect a lot from the second largest automobile manufacturer in the World!
You know, in this day of the internet with the speed and availabilty of information they should be cautious about not being able to "expose" their production cycle to the customer. Someone else will!
Don't get me wrong, if VOPC is the best they can do then so be it (One day it is next week then it is next month.) It would just be nice if we, the customer, could plan for our purchases.

Talk about planning my purchase! I researched and did my homework since these Screws were announced for release. Test drove-went to six different dealers-then input my info to autobyetel and found a dealer made deal then ordered. I should have ordered in January. Verry frustrated Big Daddy Whiteboy!
