Question Build date 9-18, then 2-3 weeks for delivery?

From what I've read, some of you have gotten your crews days after build date, others a few weeks. Has anyone taken delivery on an ordered one lately and what was your timeline?
Thanks,
I'm starting to get addicted to this site, its the only way I get to see any Crews!

My build date is this week.
ETA in Salem, IL is 25 September.

Go figure!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about this site being addictive, I never looked at the internet as much as now, and this is still not enough for me, just can't wait till I actually sit in the truck and get to drive it, instead of reading about it. But I will continue reading this site since there is so much information being shared.

Hey ya'll,

I ordered my SCrew about 2 weeks ago, and I was told that it'd arrive sometime late October, no later than early November. ARRRGGGHH!!! So long to wait...

I know some people use a phone number to call the V.P.O.C. (I think thats what it is) to keep tabs on the status of their truck...
does anyone have the number for it? is there a website by chance? Thanks.

For what is worth: My "build week" was 08/21/00 VPOC reported the truck built and shipped via rail carrier on 08/23/00. Hopefully it was not the first one on the train with a long wait for the cars to fill. If not I should see it this week. Ordered on 06/22 and told delivery 6 to 8 weeks; but the June and July orders were backed up 4 weeks for Re-tooling of the KC plant for Super Duties. My son ordered one and is being told deliveries on August orders should run 7 to 10 weeks.

MtnMike,

That would now explain the holdup on my
Crew(s). I ordered the last week of June and we all expected to see something by this week or next, but one is being built 9-11 and the other 9-18 though both were ordered the same day. I'm just hoping they make it to Philly before I head to the Outer Banks for vacation the 1st week of october. I'd hate to put more miles on my Expy than I have too. :>(

Well finally my brand spanking new 2001 F-150
XLT 4WD Super Crew Cab in Deep Metallic Wedgwood Blue with Lower Tu-Tone Arizona Metallic Beige, 5.4L, 17 inch wheels/tires, and a bunch of other goodies arrived today. Sharp as a tack and about as pretty as they get. Ordered on 06/22, built on 08/22; shipped on 08/24; and picked up on 08/29. That was with the 4 week delay.

WOW!!! is this thing everything I
expected and more. What a pleasure to drive. Words cannot describe the "feel behind the wheel". This baby was turning heads all the way home. Runs like a top and smooth as a baby'e bottom. It was well worth the wait. For those asking about
pricing I saved $4200 off MSRP (paid invoice in Denver). Catch you all later as I have to try to get to sleep with a new S-Crew dancing in my head.
