Mods and gas mielage?
I am doing an unoffical poll of the Super Crew thread to determine what mods people have installed and the effect that it has had on their gas mileage. After reading nearly every thread with regards to the various mods (Filter, FIPK, exhaust, Superchip), I have come to the conclusion that gas mileage increases are only a bonus in select instances and most people or doing mods strictly for the respective Hp and sound improvements.
Does anybody have good data to indicate that the mods they have made have noticeably increased their gas mileage? (I am aware that most people drive their trucks more aggresivley after the mod) I am mainly interested in knowing if anyone has made a modification purely for economic reasons.

I can't give you any real data, but I did put in the FIPK,Headers and exhaust to improve MPG slightly but my real goal was to allow the engine to breathe and exhale better. The increased MPG(3-4) was just a bonus.
But really, does anyone really buy vehicles such as this for gas milage?!

I did the stock intake mod, put on a K&N, and a Gibson Supertruck exhaust...I didn't see any increase in mileage. Performance improved witht the intake mod and exhaust but I'm not happy with the K&N though so I switched back to paper filters. Since then, throttle response is a lot better.
