WooHoo! It's Here!

And it's even better in person!

Ordered on about 6/6, build date "week of 7/31" and picked it up last night (8/17)

Seems to be pre-update as it's a Lariet w/o lighted visor mirors.

Will post pics asap. Aluminum looking big driveshaft, but didn't actually get under the truck. Ford bedliner on order.

Question: Anyone know if Leer will make a 100xq for the Supercrew?

I love the bigger windows from 100QX better than the other Leer SuperCrew Caps with smaller windows:

but will get the Snugtop XV if Leer takes too long.

I'd pass on the roof rack; looks like a shopping cart on the truck. Just my .02.

The rack on the Snugtop is an aftermarket Yakima rack that Sonoma SuperCrew added. It's not my taste, but can say the modular Yakima, Thule, or other similar racks can hold a ton of junk extremely well. I drove across country with 2 bikes, 2 sets of skis, and a surf board on the top of VW Rabbit, and they were rock solid at 70+ mph.

The look I am going for is SUV style on the cap windows. Until recently, the largest cap windows I had seen were the Snugtop, but when I ran across the Leer 100xq I really liked the lines. I would have gotten the Expy (or 2000 Suburban), but 4-5K extra in price, and the occasional cap-off hauling made the SuperCrew more advantageous. Besides, the Dog is spoiled, and wouldn't be happy in the back without a stylish cap with big windows to look out of...

dtrosch,
What kind of camera do you have. Those pictures of your dog are great. Is it a digital camera?
Nothing to do with trucks, just wondering, I'm looking at buying a digital camera (mostly for the truck and the trips we will be taking with it in Europe).

Dutchy,
I can't take credit for the pictures. Most of the ones I do post are 35 mm that are converted to a Kodak Photo CD when processing. Often, when I don't have my own photo, I find one on the web that illustrates my idea. For example, the two photos above of the dog are not ACTUALLY my dog, but might as well be because even my wife asked where the hard photos are for the album. I linked to them from a Hungarian Vizsla club I had bookmarked. For another picture of MY dog (and mother-in-law and daughter) from the photo cd, see below. Also, until you get your digital camera, Nabisco Snackwell cookies have a coupon inside for free a Photo CD with regular photo processing on Kodak paper.

Photo CD

We have several digital cameras at work, and I'll check into what brands/ models we use and let you know. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you, and I hope you aren't dissapointed knowing my "secret".
