Personally, I have never used Ziebart. My wife had her 1989 Daytona "Ziebarted" and when we traded it in four months ago, there were no rust spots on it. In the meantime, my '87 Chevy S-10 is completely rusted out!!!
My new SuperCrew is scheduled for delivery the week of August 21st. It will be going directly from the dealership to the Ziebart outlet.

Since factory corrosion protection is covered for 5 or 6 years (depending upon make and model), I havent heard too much about undercoating in a while.
I dont know anything about ziebart's 'sound deading' claims, but this is what I know about aftermarket rustproofing in general (as of a few years ago).
In order to apply the rustproofing where it is really needed, holes need to be drilled in various places in order to apply the material. When this is done (drilled holes) the factory (Ford) warranty is voided. In place of this, a warranty (usually not a good) is provided by the rustproofing company. The aftermarket companies steer you away from this issue, but what it comes down to is do you want a Ford warranty or a warranty from someone else.
Now some companies dont drill any holes. They just spray a lot of crap all over the place. This just makes a mess when tring to service the vehicle. All of the manufacturers (Ford included) states in their brochures that aftermarket rustproofing is not required or desired. On the other hand, aftermarket companies (and some bad dealers) try to sell you this stuff (fabric and paint coating included) in order to make a large profit.
