Smile SuperCrew Blanket

I just got this blanket via UPS from Ford for buying a SuperCrew. It is about 5 feet long. It's not the best quality in the world, but it's ok. It's the same quality as the 50th. aniversary blankets Ford sent out a couple of years ago. I don't know why, but my wife won't let me hang it above our bed .

Hmm i wonder if that was the package i missed today from UPS. It says the sender was Ford. I never ordered anything from there so I guess it might be that blanket. Did they say you were gonna get it? Because the salesman never mentioned anything to me about it.

riccog,

No. It just came 10 weeks after I took delivery. When I bought my '97, they sent me some nice folding chairs with F-series embroidered in the seat back. They are real nice. My '99, I got the 50th aniversary blanket. I would have liked to have gotten the SuperCrew pocket tool that some people got.

Whew, glad I read your post, I thought it was a flag to hang behind the bed of the truck. ;-) My wife has informed me that the blanket (arrived today) goes in the truck for those "I am cold" "I am hot" wars. Seems like a fair plan, since I already have the painted black velvet Elvis hanging in the bedroom. :-)

It is a nice touch from Ford to do little things like this.

Hey Skyjet, do you think this is an either/or item (multitool or blanket)? I've got the multitool but want the blanket too! Yeah I know it sounds kinda greedy but hey if you bought one of theese trucks your almost automatically an "I want it all" kinda guy. And as for the over the bed objections from your wife I know how you feel. I ran into the same thing with my G. Gordon Liddy "Stacked and Packed" calender. Geeeze!, go figure that one out.

crewchief,

I bet you have a blanket on the way. I think the blanket comes to those who bought a SuperCrew and the multi-tool was some kind of promotion to get you to buy one.

Did you do a test drive or inquire on the internet or a car show before you got your multi-tool? If I got one of those, I bet it would be small enough that I could leave it on my night stand and my wife wouldn't complain about it.

The blanket looks kinda cheesey to me.

The wife got two of those fold-up directors chairs (with the ford logo) with her new Explorer, and ford is going to send me a crappy little 'ford poster' blanket.

I might just sent it right back to them.

Well the blanket came today with a nice little note thanking us for buying a SuperCrew.
So now I have the multitool and the blanket but somehow it doesn't seem very satisfying after having read Marv1's post. My wife says I have a case of "billiard ball envy". I think she is whacked, but I did have the urge to jab at them with a long stick.

I just can't freaken believe that I haven't gotten any new toys from Ford. I can't sleep without my Supercrew blanket. Doesn't Ford understand that? It's been a month now and NO BLANKET!! I even called Ford and nobody seems to know who's sending out the blankets. How the hel_ does that happen? I feel like the peanuts gang with no Pigpen blanket. Don't worry about me fellas... I'll some how make it through the night. : ) Sleep well with your blankets

Received mine today. IT will be perfect to keep in the truck for my 4 month old sun to use. Might as well be his blanket since he's the reason why I got the Supercrew in the first place!
