Post Snugtop Campershell/Yakima rack photos

Well, after waiting two months my Snugtop Campershell arrived. The shell is a great match for the truck, I also had the dealer install a Yakima "track" system for the roof. With the smaller bed this rack system makes up for the lost space. Just came back from a camping trip to Lake Tahoe and both the truck and shell worked out great.

Just curious....What did you pay for your Snugtop? Have been weighing an A.R.E LSII hard tonneau and a top. You truck looks great.

Sonoma,

The truck looks great. I have been waiting to order the Snugtop until I actually saw one. Did you buy your top with the sliding front window or a rubber seal? I had a Snugtop on my 97 supercab with the slider and I got very tired of all the bars in my rear-view and cleaning the class between the shell and truck was a pain in the rear.

I am also curious what you paid for both the Snugtop and the Yakima rack system.

The price was not cheap! I had looked at Leer, Ravin and Astro and they were just under $1,100., I knew the Snugtop would be a nicer shell, larger windows, all glass rear door, etc., I ended up paying something like $1,450. The Yakima rack system (with out the basket) was just over $300. installed. For those of you thinking about either a Snugtop shell or hard cover, go to www.Snugtop.com and fill out there information request form. They will send you a certificate for $40.00 off a shell.
My shell came with a slider window, the sliders now open from the side (Like the SCrew window) so the middle frame is not always in your rear view mirror.

P.S. Your right about the IAFF sticker, Local 1775!

OK, now that is a nice shell. I showed it to my wife last night and she thought it was "da ticket."

So, how tough is it to install? And once installed does it take great effort to remove, e.g., takes 3 dudes 30 minutes or 1 person 2 minutes?

Thanks.

I would think 2 adults could lift it on/off with out any problem in a matter of minutes. The wires for the rear brake light and inside 12 volt light uncouple at the connecter.
