Post Stock Tires? Are they LT?

Greetings,
I have a SCrew on order scheduled to be built week of August 7. (Anxiously awaiting)

XLT
Oxford White
4x4
5.4l
3.55 limited slip
Power Bench
Cab Steps
Keyless Entry
Tow Pkg

The tires I am getting are the stock P255/70x16 OWL all-season tires (4)
Question...
Are these regular Passenger Tires? Designated by the "P" or are they actually truck tires? I plan to tow my 6000 lb. travel trailer with it (less than 1000 miles a year).

I need the 16 inch tires cause the 17 inch reduce the towing capacity by 500 lbs. so I can't go to a larger wheel.
Thanks,
Jerry

Thumbs down

I have the same size tires. my tires are General p255/70/r16. these tires are basically car tires made to fit a truck. If your were to have to replace these tires a new on cost around $55. that alone should tell you how good they are. will be replacing soon with a better tire. Hope this helps. If you can get the Goodyear rts tires on your truck I think you would be happier
