K&N Generation II Performance Kit for Supercrew
Do they make these for the SC? Does anyone have it? Is it worth the money? give me some feedback please. Thanks a bunch!

Doesn't make any difference if it is a Super Crew or not to K&N. It is the engine that matters either 5.4L or 4.6L In fact I think
they both use the same kit. I have A K&N Filter Charger in my Y2K f-150 and love it. Got it from Truck Performance Center, their prices are lower than Performance Products, but some folks have complained about delivery times from them, mine was about a week.

I dont believe that K&N (and others) have an EPA certification for the 2001 model year.
The equipment will pass emissions requirements, but in some states, when getting an inspection on a modified engine (intake, exhaust, etc), the inspector will look for an approval code (usually on a sticker supplied by the manufacturer).
Some companies still dont have approval for y2k models yet (even though their 98 & 99 models fit and work perfectly).

I've had the generation II kit for a few weeks. It improves the low end acceleration, and overall performance on my 5.4. I really like the differance. The get up and go is much better. It took a little more than an hour to install, comes with very good instructions. It's best to have a better exhaust system than stock, more free flowing, This combo works great. I got the K&N kit from truck performance in CA. $185 plus shipping. GOOD LUCK
