I must be blind or dumb (maybe both). I have not seen or heard what purpose the nylons straps with velcro serves (located on the back of the rear seats when folded down).

 

I believe they are child car seat tether straps.

Yep, they're tether straps for car seats and we use them all the time! We're expecting twins in 6 months so we will probably be using all three tether straps in the near future!!!
