Question Alarm System ????

Now that I have my SCrew, I will need a alarm system. Does anyone has any recomendations or suggestions ? I would prefer one that will work with my keyless entry. Also is there any kill switches out there that can be install easily ?

It shouldn't be too much trouble to get an alarm installed using the original keyfobs. Both Chapman and Code Alarm make models for this purpose. Plus they're a couple bucks cheaper in the long run for reusing your current remote.

I installed a Clifford Concept 100 alarm on my crew about 3 months ago. Works great, but I had problems with the install at first due to the installer. He got the 'human errors' taken care of and it works great. One thing I didnt like was the factory horn would not work as my alarm and still utilize all the features of the alarm system itself. I had to go with the Clifford siren, which actually isnt all that bad.

If you are really into computers, many of the Clifford systems can be installed with a serial port cable and CD software so you yourself can do the customizing of the alarm (siren sounds, auto locking, sensitivity, how many key fobs, programing various different functions, etc). Very cool accessory. Just pop open the glove box and plug into the laptop. (or just a really long cable into the home office!!

Concept 100 was $349.00 plus 20 bucks for the relays, etc-installed. tax and all $395.00.
Go to www.clifford.com and do an authorized dealer search for a dealer in your area. You can also check out the different types of systems they have. Mine is in the "G4" (or Generation four)category web page. (I tried to connect to the site today and it wouldnt let me- it may be down temporarily)

tlister is right. Codealarm makes a model called the Sureguard40 which works with your keyless entry it costs about 129.00. Chapman which is made by codealarm makes a model called C750.

You can find info on the sureguard at: http://www.codl.com/sguard.html
You can find info on the chapman at:
http://www.codl.com/chpman.html

I haven't decided which way to go yet. I would like a system that works with my keyless entry but a whole new alarm system might be easier and have more features.
