My new SC has 1/4" gaps on both sides of the tailgate. I can see light through these gaps into the bed of my truck. My concern is that in the winter, snow will get blown into these gaps and into the bed of my truck. What is the purpose of putting a weathertight cover over the bed if the tailgate has these gaps in them????

Has anyone else noticed these gaps???

Do you think some weatherstipping could be applied to the tailgate to seal up the gaps?
