$300 over invoice as it rolled off the truck at a dealer I happened to be visiting. (I think the salesman noticed that I was drooling a lot, or I might have paid even less!)

I ordered a Supercrew 4x2 Lariat from my dealer through fleet/internet sales in Katy Texas for $100 over invoice. Options included Capt chairs, 5.4 engine, trailer tow package, 6-disc cd player, and two-tone paint. $26788.00 including $18 gas, $130 advertising, $690 dest. and delivery. Could buy off the lot for $500 over invoice.

I used auto-by-tel and my local dealer sold me mine for $455.00 below invoice. Walked in and she wrote it up. No special Ford, or any other discount. Harvest Gold SCrew Lariat, with everything except: two/tone, engine block heater, and sliding rear window. Ordered April 25, should be here the week of June 12. No advertising, or gas fees.

Cool

I just back from a windsurfing vacation in Aruba. Now remember the island is about 17 miles long and 6 miles wide (and that's being generous). While there I stopped at the local Ford dealer (yes there is one, also a Lexus, BMW, Range Rover, and several rice burner dealers). Their currency is Florin, and the exchange rate is 1.75 Florin per US dollar. Now the good part. Here's a picture of a 2000 Crewcab on the showroom floor (no the showroom didn't take up all the island, just half of it).

Now the "the rest of the story" (just had to do that):

That works out to about $38,828.57 US.
And...NO...there is no 4.2 V8, checked under the hood, it was a 4.6. Didn't have the nerve to ask if there was any additional taxes etc.

"And now you know the rest of the story, good day"

Additional note: You're not CrewCab, but are
DOUBLE CABIN (sounds like a boat) .

I thought it interesting, after going to the Ford web site http://www.fordvehicles.com/vehiclehome.asp?vid=20 and rebuilding the SuperCrew that I purchased, the cost came out to $33,590.00. If you convert that to Canadian at http://www.rubicon.com/passport/currency/currency.html it comes out to $49,567.75. That sounds like a lot for a SuperCrew but I paid $1500 over dealer cost [I ordered March 2nd, so they had just come out] and it cost me $39,330. If you convert that to American on the same web site it comes out to $26652.30. Isn't that about $7000.00 American off retail? It almost looks as though they go for less in Canada. If they didn't, how would we afford one with our dollar? I wonder if there are differences in the trucks?

High Gas Prices and a slow car sales month are great times to buy a supercrew.

I purchased mine last week out of dealer inventory for Invoice. Just last month, the same dealer wanted $600 over invoice for the same truck. My advice to is find a small town dealer with at least 4 supercrews on the lot. Make him a offer during the last week of the month, and you might be suprised how eager they are to sell.
