Cool 4X4 Decals Removed!

With the posts that were sent out about removing the rear 4x4 decal from the SuperCrews only made me have another look at the SCrew yesterday...along with all the neighbors (have you ever had neighbor's that want to wash your truck...I now do!)

Off came the 4x4 stickers and WOW!!!! what a difference in the appearance of the truck. It now looks a lot cleaner and finished. It took about 5 minutes for both stickers to be peeled off (No heat required, no nothing!). Now that I have seen the truck without the decals I am even more happier with the looks of the SuperCrew than first thought.

Now my neighbors want to steal it!

Gee, I wonder how long these stickers would stay on if you don't take them off yourself. Hearing that it does not require much effort makes me think that these stickers will not last anyway and it might be better to take them off before the paint difference due to sunlight. Thanx for the info.

Dutchy,
Won't be very hard to get any decals off your truck since it's dark. I let my dealer decal bake in the sun for a little bit, and it just pulled right off! Good pick on the color, you won't be disappointed

I just picked up my Supercrew yesterday, long wait from end of April. I have never figured out what appeal 4x4 has, is 16 some magic number?? The stickers were gone from my truck before I left the dealer.

gunsnrods,
I'm happy for you that you got your truck, but what was the cause of the delay? Did you order a 5.4L? Not that it matters for me since my dealer still cannot give me any idea of when my truck will be build. But at least I can look at the other SCrew's, don't forget to post a picture of your's here!!!
(oh yeah, Please)

Picked up a SuperCrew a few days ago. One sweet truck. I peeled the 4X4, Lariat and pin stripe off. Looks a little cleaner with the two tone.

Jerry.

Dutchy, the dealer should be able to give you
an idea of when truck will be built and delivered by this time. I ordered a 4.6 on
5/2/00- built 5/22 - scheduled to be delivered on 6/7. arrived on my birthday 6/5.
Sorry yours is taking so long.

2001 screw lariat/black/med parchment cap. ch./4.6/tow/sliding glass/cab steps(wife).

I love it, and the 4.6 seems to have plenty
of power

Question

Dutchy,

I've been looking, dreaming, drooling at these supercrews for a while and plan on ordering one in August. I'm stuck between black/gold 2tone and the blue/gold 2tone. Could you post or email me a pick of your truck? It's hard to find trucks like yours...all of em seem to be white, green or red....bah..

Also, when you guys removed the stickers...did you remove the pinstrip that runs along the two tone line?

Thanks in advance!

braboin,
If I had a truck I would love to take a picture of it. Long and sad story, but I had to cancel my order with my overseas dealer and reorder it with a state side dealer. Believe me, when I get it you will see lots of pictures. We did however change our mind to the gold, since it's not really gold and the blue is to dark (it rains a lot over here and that is to much waxing).

Yo, Dutch Boy:

If I may be so bold as to ask, do you mind telling us about the prices, delivery, options, etc. on trucks like the F-150 over there? Do you see any around? What is the reputation? (I bet a Lightning would raise you to Pilot status there, eh?)

Regards,

Prices in Holland are the same as in the States since there are no F-150 here to be sold. The only way to get one is to order one with the DOD system or go over to the States and pick one up. THere are not many trucks over here, about 1 out of 300 if that, and not to many Fords most are Dodge or GMC. But all these have been imported, the only "truck" you can buy here is a Ranger.

Dutchy,
Sorry for the late reply to your question, yes, I ordered the 5.4 engine, it was the second truck I ordered, started with the 4.6, changed my mind and slowed the whole process down. The supply of Supercrews here in Indiana now exceeds demand, my dealer must have 15+ in stock, combination of interest rates, gas and a slowing economy here will make for some good retail deals. I paid $500 over invoice, I'm sure I can beat that on an inventory unit at this time.
