Thumbs up I'm back! The truck is great!!!

Hi all!

I just got back from Oregon today. After taking delivery of my SuperCrew on Saturday, I drove all over the state- Bonneville Dam, Mount Hood, Crater Lake, Newport, Lincoln City, Tillamook, Astoria, and of course, Portland (I'm not spell checking here). I logged over 1500 miles, getting between 19 and 14 mpg, depending on the kind of driving I did.

My impression of the SuperCrew? Awesome! Negatives? Well... (1) Too many people wanted to check it out, babes included...and my girlfriend didn't appreciate that. (2) I often got boxed in on the freeway by people who apparently wanted to check out the truck. (3) Not being paranoid or egotistical, but it seemed that a lot of F-150 Super Cab owners were giving me envious looks. (4) The SuperCrew doesn't come with deflector shields or an anti-bug laser; too many big a$$ Oregon bugs got splattered on my new truck!

Surprises? (1) My truck came with a keyless remote entry/alarm that I wasn't expecting. (2) The rear compartment was large enough to hold ALL of our luggage! (3) In all that driving, I saw just 2 other SuperCrews on the road (dealerships not included).

Now that I'm back, I'll have to wait a few more weeks for my Smittybuilt step/bars, kennel & winch installation, and rustproofing. Then it's that agonizing 10-14 day wait for barge-delivery to Hawaii (Kauai).

At least I know that the wait will be worth it!

Welcome back Setter Man!
Hey do you love that truck or what! Must have been really tough to part with it but at least you got a really good ride out of it first. Keep us posted on its progress and post any pics of your truck if you managed to get any before you left her all alone with those strangers...I mean good people whom you trust explicitly. JUST KIDDING AROUND!

Congratulations on your truck and dont forget about those pictures!!!

My truck was three weeks dock to dock. Matson has an internet site to follow progress but it was often a day or so late in changing especially when they off loaded in Oakland and in Honolulu. There is a direct line to phone and they were usually helpful but occasionally flat out wrong about what was happening and exactly where the truck was in its agonizingly slow progress down the coast and across the Pacific. Hopefully you won't have such a long wait but I think 10 days may be optimistic.

But at least now you know what a great truck it is and can anticipate all the fun when it arrives. There are now three over here that I know of so it is still a conversation piece most places that I go. Getting it Rhino lined on Tuesday. Otherwise absolutely no problems to speak of, the dealer fixed a malfitted rear window when the oil was changed last week. (No problems that is except the price of gas!!)

Cool

Hey Setterman...

somewhere i have a link for a site that lets you look down at earth from a bunch of different satelites... maybe if you zoom in enough you'll be able to keep your eye on it!

Just kidding of course... know how you feel. Picked up mine on a Friday. Saturday AM the neighbor was laughing at us, cause the wife and I were sitting in it... drinking coffee, listening to cd's and reading the paper...

ENJOY!!

Setterman,

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I too ordered the stock wheels and tires on my new SuperCrew. Now I'm told that changing will screw up the speedo, ABS sensor shifting sensor etc. For me the stock wheels and tires don't fill the wheel wells. Have you heard of problems with changing wheels and tires?
