where does the composite begin and end?

interestingly while standing in the bed strapping a box in i saw daylight through a crack in the floor. i thought the composite was on the exterior fender only. now i'm wondering. appears if you look at the seams in the bed, the floor and tailgate braces are steel and the entire fenders inside and out are composite.

I already installed a ladder rack in the bed of mine.(I know, I know...but it's for work)Anyway, I had to pull off the rail trim cap in order to bolt everything up. The inner panels are metal and the outer fenders bolt on to them. The fenders wrap over the top and this seam is hidden by the grey trim cap. BTW, I had a custom shop tell me not to install the rail mount type head ache rack because the vibrations could crack the fenders. Don't know if that is true or not.

 

Can anyone else see all the way through to the back of the bed with the tailgate up. Stand at the rear corner about 10 feet back and try it. I think the gap between the gate and those large side posts is a little wide. My Line-x Liner took care of some of that gap.
I notice the paint on the outside of the bed scratches very easy and DEEP.

The outside of the bed are fiberglass and the inside is steel. Its the sport track that has the composit bed.
