I have a couple more questions if you don't mind. I know it disables the armrests which is fine because I don't like them anyway, but does the lid still open and close fine?
Does the console work good as the armrest? Also, any tips for installing it? Was it difficult? And finally, have you done anything with the hole in the back of it? I was thinking of ordering the panel that went in there even if it doesn't work, just to cover the hole. Thanks for your time, any help is appreciated!!!

 

jgsupercrew, With the armrests up the console works perfect, the lid doesn't touch anything.The height is perfect for armrest.As you know there are two brackets, the front are no problem,the back is a pain.The two bolts in the back are too tall for the console to sit all the way down.You can cut them off some or do as I did,I drilled two holes in the bracket so the long bolts pass through the bracket,I tried to take these bolts out but couldn't.

I couldn't find your email address so I'll ask here. Did you have to completely take the new console apart to install it, or is there a better way? Did you have to deal with the cd changer in the center console? And does the seat have to be all the way back for the lid to open, or can the seat be in any position? Thanks again.

 

jgsupercrew, I keep the seat all the way back because I'm tall, I don't think the 2000 console will work with the seat moved up towards the steering wheel , unless the armrests are taken off, the lid won't work.I did have to take it all apart to install but its very easy. I took the cd components out and put the rubber mat out of the original console in on the bottom to cover it.If you need more help 305-232-7179 good luck MARK

Another question for 4door. I noticed in your description of accesories on your supercrew you listed ford seatcovers and mud guards. My dealer could only find available white rear mudguards and no seat covers. Are your mudguards ford molded and what color? I would prefer gold to match my tutone paint. My seats are tan leather bench. Do you know if mudguards are same as f150 mudguards and if seats are same as any other vehicle. Would really appreciate any info or part numbers. Thanks for the help!!!

 

DMark, The seat covers are made locally but sold by ford here with the ford logo. I think all dealerships are different, they were $158 for front and back. I believe the 2000 trucks are the same. I know who made them, if your interested I'll post their ph#, they might be cheaper than if you went through ford. The mud guards are all black molded universal from pep-boys, they look good. I'm not sure if the 2000 ford mudguard will work. good luck
