Question Break-in period ???

While I count the days 'till I fly to Portland to get my SuperCrew, I need some input on the suggested break-in procedure. What does the owner's manual say? Will it be okay for me to drive from Portland, OR to Big Sky, MT in a couple of days, as long as I vary my speed on the interstate? Any input and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Note: Whereas, the farthest I can drive on this island is less than 50 miles in either direction from home, break-in has never been much of an issue here.

Manual says no special breakin just vary your speed for the first 1000 miles. I gotta believe that hard driving with heavy acceleration in the first 1000 miles can't be good but the manual didn't say anything. BTW I've just passed 1000 miles so I guess I'm allowed to beat it up a bit. Just to whet your appetite you can download the owners manual from the Ford owners site and read it before you get your truck.

Enjoy your trip.
