Smile Supercrew Info Packet

Ages ago when I first heard of the SuperCrew I went to the Ford Site and asked for a brocure to be be sent. I got a nice letter a one point saying that it was not available yet and that I would get one in the mail as soon as it was available. Well today in the mail I got a Supercrew information package. It had a letter, a one page flyer a really fancy box with outside and inside pictures and a complimentary 'handy tool'. Accoding to the enclosed letter the 'handy tool' is to remind me of the versatility of the Supercrew. It is a pretty cheap multi-tool as these things go, but it is a different marketing technique. Anyone else get one? Oh the Handy Tool has a sheath with 2001 F-150 SuperCrew Built Ford Tough on it. I remember a call on my answering machine promising to schedule a test drive and the letter in this package mentions it too. I don't plan on buying one until next year at the earliest, but thought you all might get a kick out of this marketing ploy.

I requested them several times through the web site but never recieved anything, even called the 800 number. Ended up having to visit a dealership.

My info packet came today. Great marketing gimmick ,even if they already sold me a truck. Their web site sold us but you know you can never have enough of those multi-tool things, especially with a pouch stamped "2001 F-150 SuperCrew"!!!

Arrived today also, nice free little gift. Between UPS, the tool and that advertising box Ford sure is spending money trying to get the Supercrew name out there.

GaryB, why you waiting? The reason I ask is that I am too. I was hoping they would change the wheels, put 275's under it and throw in the 3 valve 5.4. Is that too much to ask for in the 2002 model?

Does anyone know when the next model year will come out?
