Hey everyone.....what is with all the talk about "door cracks".

Are these door cracks showing up on the 2001 Supercrews also?

On the home page of this site it seems to be a common problem with the 97-00 subercabs.

Please tell me that this is not happening to the 4 door Supercrews!

The SuperCrew doors have an approximate 2" crease along the bottom of the doors unlike the previous F150's. With this change, we can only speculate the door crack problems which plague the F150 have been resolved. Time will tell.

 

The SuperCrew uses Expedition doors. These never had the cracking problems that the pickup doors had...if you look at where the crack formed in the pickup door and check out an Expedition or SuperCrew you'll see that the door design in the area of the crack is completely different. The pickup doors have a 1-pc outer doorskin while the Expy/SCrew doors have a seperate frame. These will not crack (and supposedly the 2000 pickup doors have visibly changed in this area as well...probably to eliminate the cracking).
