Insurance is probably one of the most diverse expenses with vehicle ownership. From owner to owner, company to company, you can get all kinds of different prices on the same vehicle.

If you haven't obtained insurance yet, you might consider GEICO, 1-800-841-3000 for an on-line quote.

I purchased a 12 month policy for my SuperCrew and a 96 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 for $1,374. What that includes:

Coverage:
Bodily Injury 100,000/300,000
Unisured Motorist 100,000/300,000
Property Damage 50,000

Deductibles:
Winshield $50
Comprehensive $250
Collision $500

Other:
Emerg. Road-service
Rental Reimbursement $750 a month
Unexpected Delays $500
7 yr/100,000 bumper to bumper on the SuperCrew.

Considering we were paying $1,174 a year on the Toyota (25/50,000 coverages, $500 deductibles) no extra frillies, I'm happy .

Oh yeah, I've got to pay insurance as well. It looks like you got a good deal. I've always found GEICO to be one of the lowest. However, I get a better deal because I have my house and my vehicles with the same company.

I'd sure like your rates. It was major sticker shock when I had to add my son to our auto insurance last year; my rates more than doubled. I can't wait to see what happens when I add my daughter this Summer. I don't think either one is going to be listed as a Supercrew driver. 30k+ vehicles and teenage drivers (boys especially) are not a good combination for insurance purposes

I was quoted $933.72/yr ($77.81 per month) thru Nationwide Auto Insurance.

I am leasing my Supercrew and Ford Credit details the amounts needed for acceptable coverage. Not to bad considering I live in Southern California, and I am 26!

They did NOT want to know what size engine, about the brakes, airbags, # of doors, 4x4 or 4x2, only the vin (which I am sure tells them most of the story).

Their computers did not have 2001 models in their database so it had to go to the boss for approval. I got confirmation on Monday that it was in fact going to be 77.81 per month. Ford takes care of the Roadside, as does my insurance, so two phone numbers are better than none!!
