5.4L stats: In the first 881 miles- overall gas mileage is 14.88/miles per gallon.

From San Diego to Bakersfield (4-02-00)via the 15, up the Cajon Pass, and thru the Mojave Desert gas mileage was 15.43 miles per gallon.

 

so i have read that the 5.4 only gets one or two less mpg than the 4x4 how does 2x4 5.4 compare to 4x4 4.6 would you mind giving me the average of 4x4 5.4, 2x4 5.4, 4x4 4.6, and 2x4 4.6

I'm on my 3rd consecutive F-150 with 5.4 engines. Had a 2002, a 2005, and now a 2008. Not the first problem.

The things I would do to have gas that low again...
