Finally!

As some of you know, Heather has not returned to work since her accident. Her back still hurts and is giving her problems.

As a result, the leather seats that were in the truck simply had to go. They are to stiff for her comfort. So I picked up a set of cloth seats up in Gainesville this week. They are pretty stained up and need to be reupholstered but I will get that done as time allows.

So the day after I picked up the new front buckets, I struck gold finally on another seat that I have been after for so long. The passenger "40" section rear seat! Picked it up at a local junkyard on a pretty good deal. So I swapped a few things here and there, modified a couple small pieces and boom, it looks factory!

Now... What the hell am I going to do with that HUGE gap in between the rear buckets?

Here is a hint

That was the first piece, and the aftermath of cardboard...
So, this was the design and start

That is about all I got done last night... It became to late for me to be out in the shop running power tools...

So today I got most of it finished.

On the back wall between the seats I am going to put a "blingy" Ford oval or something like that, and have some green LED's lighting it up.

The box itself right now is bare and you can see the top is not finished. I am going to be filling the 'gap' level accross the top and then adding about 1" of foam pad for a arm rest. And the final point will be when I get all the seats reupholstered, the box is going to get fitted with the same design/material to match.

I chose not to go with my original idea of having a speaker showing for the simple fact that I like it sleek, clean, and functional. The box holds 2 12" CVR's in a down firing position. This provides much more bass/sound than it would have if I had gone with a front firing setup, and it gives a full arm rest and flows with the rest of the lines on the interior.

Thanks for looking!!!

That is an interesting concept to get rid of that 60 rear seat. I have never thought about that. My main interior wish is that I would have held out for leather and the console shifter instead of the column.
