Evo screen fades...WHY?

My Edge Evo has been fading lately. The screen doen't go dark, it just fades away. I adjusted the contrast/brightness to no avail. The next day, everything was fine but recently it's beginning to fade again. Wuzup wit dat?

Maybe a loose connection? Could be a bad Edge. I would call or email Edge and see what they tell you. They might just replace it if it happens to be faulty.

Extreme cold and extreme heat affects the liquid crystal display.

I'd bet on the heat making the screen fade.

Mine gets a small black area on the right side after sitting in the heat at work all day. I can't image why, the inside temp of the truck is only about 140. It starts to go away once that awesome F150 AC cools it to 98. :o

Yep, same here, except it's the left side.

The heat has been unbearable the last couple of days in Florida, however, the Evo has not faded YET. Thanks for the reply.

Excessive heat will do it. It should clear up when it cool's down.
