Sounds like a nice truck. Why do you want to unload it?

I see new used 2008 fx4 on dealers lots around this price all day. Not trying to hurt feelings, just stating a fact. The new 09's are killing the resell value of our trucks.

My ford dealer still has atleast 5 new 08's on there lots dirt cheap.

bought my 08 xlt screw 4x4 in january of 08.

tried to trade it when the started shaving $15-20k off the 08 FX4's about 4 months ago and they would not even tell me how much they would give me for it.

Just tried to get me to agree to a x amount of monthly payment and they would try to make it happen. i said, tell me trade in amount or i walk. Stil do not know what amount they we're going to give me.

i was quoted at $23k without the guy even looking at it. im sure i would get more if he actually saw it and looked at it

im not trying to get rid of it, at least not yet.

i mean dont get me wrong i love it to death but ive been in trucks all my life and was looking at possibly a BMW

but since i cant get as much as i owe on it, it sucks. it will only get worse too

i dont do much hauling in it anymore and if i ever needed a truck i got my dads f-250 and 2 suburbans

but i did just get a puppy and would have no place to put a kennel when hes older, well i guess maybe on the backseat

also i didnt realize i took my sig out

heres a pic

Values have actually gone up on our trucks since summer 2008 when gas cost more than double what it is today. Check Edmunds and KBB for the best guesses on values.

I paid $17,800 for my 08 with 7500 miles on it a few weeks ago that had a $35600 sticker. It is 4x2 w/4.6 so I imagine 5.4 and 4x4 would add a few grand more. My biggest reason for buying used WAS the resasle value. Best I could do on a similar NEW 08 was $23-24K. Figured I'd let someone else take the $5-6K hit and I'd buy an extended warranty if the extra year of warranty meant that much to me. The new body style certainly hurts resale. I'm sure if you had negative equity or put little down when buying new, you were upside down before the ink dried Guess the best thing to do is to drive and enjoy, it is a pretty nice truck after all.

Tried to sell my 07 for a month and 1/2. A few wanted it but the banks turned them down or asked 5k down. Best offer was 17,500 from a dealer. I took it just to get rid of the 500/mth. payment. Lost money. These are bad times and I think it's gonna get worse.

Return to stock, sell off the aftermarket stuff, then start an ad. No take over payments, just sell it outright.

Good luck! What are your reasons for wanting to sell?

but like i said before i dont haul much in it anymore so the bed is always empty.

well i dont want to return it to stock if im not sure im going to sell it. ill start by listing it as is.

what do you think i should list it at? especially since i owe $31k
