New Member and Screw

Just picked up my Screw last weekend and love it already. My wife and I have our 1st baby on the way and I wanted a 4dr 4wd drive. I prefered to have a 4dr shortbed vs and SUV so I could get a shell for it and keep my dogs back there and not inside.

Well about the truck. Its an 03 Screw 4x4 5.4 XLT with 66k. It came with brand new tires and has a spray-in liner. My plans are to find some steps for it (would make the wife happy). The power hidaway running boards would be nice but some what pricey. The 1st is to get a shell for it before any road trips with the new kid and the dogs. Maybe down the road a brushguard or similiar to mount lights.

btw i'm pleased this truck drives so nice and its in great shape, only a few minor dings and scraps.

do those nerf bars make good steps? I bought a tacoma with some and they were better for looks than function. And does your tuner affect mpg?

Good looking truck and welcome to the site. You may want to hide your wallet though or you will end up moding your truck more than you expected

the step bars are built tuff. they will hold up for their intended purpose. and a tuner you will love if you get. get custom tuned by PHP (uses gryphon) or Troyer or VMP (use sct. i have it and love it) gryphon is 500 sct xcals have a screen on dash are 400 but have no screen. you can have custom tunes for performance, mileage, towing or any of those combinations. if you have any other questions just let me know.
