need storage advice

so I am getting ready to deploy for 8 or 9 months and have store my truck. I don't have a house so I have to leave it in our compound the entire time. It will be secure as it will be on base but I am worried about all the little things. I am going to change the oil tomorow and I have dark tint and a windsheild shade but what about the paint and battery? How do I set up the truck so it will have the best chance for a happy reunion in may ? This is in las vegas so humidity is not to bad... What do you all think? I park it Friday afternoon.

I'm trying to remember when I stored a car for the winter up north. Fill the tank as full as you can to reduce condensation from forming. If you can't store it on jack stands, air up the tires to avoid flat spots from sitting so long. I'm assuming the truck will be in the elements so leaving the doors ajar (not open, just not closed all the way) to keep the weatherstrips from being compressed that long is out of the question so I'd look into some silicone on them to keep them from drying out. Take the battery out of the truck and put it on a trickle charger so it doesn't go completely dead. For the paint, if you're not going to get a cover for it, check the detail forum...I'd say a good coat of wax.

Thank you for your service! Good luck and come back in 1 piece.

Fill the tires up to max pressure, put some fuel stabilizer in your tank and fill it up, disconnect & remove the battery, leave the HVAC system in an open position so your truck can "breath".

If it's possible, clean it well or have it detailed. Put some good wax on it and cover it up.

Las Vegas humidity? Good one.

I would definatly put some tires shine on them to keep the sidewalls from drying out as much as possible. Def cover it.

Fill it up with gas!!! who knows how expensive it will be when you get back
