I am wanting to buy this truck but got to looking at the pictures and the pictures of the f150 emblem look like the truck might have been repainted. Can anyone look at these pictures and clarify for me. I dont want to drive all the way to texas from oklahoma to look at it, if its been repainted.

I'm with Stealth, looks like good ole factory orange peel to me.

 

Looks like original paint to me. That dimple pattern is good sign it's the original Ford paint. When I've had Fords repainted, the paint always appeared flat/smooth afterward.

Clear as an orange on most of these trucks. Mine is pretty smooth for a black truck built in Michigan, but others I've seen have pretty good orange peel.

 

is this something that could be fixed or is just not worth the money. It just bugs me, i cant believe the factory would let this by

 

I think there has been some paint work done to the truck bcuz the FX4 package doesnt come in a all black version. Im pretty sure I remember my salesman telling me that, cuz i wanted my trim and bumpers to be matching black instead of the 2 tone.

 

I agree! My truck appears smooth, built in KC. Others I've seen vary a bit! Looks like a great truck to me! Good luck!............

 

seth19 your salesman was smoking crack because you can get the fx4 in any color matching bumpers or two tone.

Thats why i hate car salesman, and they wonder why they have such a ****ty reputation. Because they dont know what the hell their talking about. That poor guy got suckerd into buying a two tone fx4 because the salesman made him believe they only made two tone fx4's. LOL
