leveling kit

looking to level my '03 SCrew 2WD the cheapest way possible. four wheel parts quoted me at $80 one time, and just last week they said around $500. i'm hearing that the chassis would need to be modified to allow the level. is this true?

Who told you the chassis had to be modified?
It would be in your best interest to stay away from 4WP. There are much better shops with much better prices. You just gotta shop around.

03's have torsion bars. You can level your truck yourself in your driveway. Grab a wrench and crank both bars equally.

It will ride a bit stiffer.

Run as fast as you can from 4wp.

The 4x2's don't have torsion bars. I'd suggest a set of Daystar coilspring spacers. They should be less than $100.

I have no idea what labor would be. Basically, you remove the coilsprings, add the spacer and reinstall them. Then you need the front end aligned.
