It's not hard, what bothers me is the cost of the hub.

This is the first steps, pulling the CV axle [this will require popping the lower ball joint loose for access].

Once the axle is out, just unbolt the 3 hub bolts.

Looks like the shop you are talking to is getting about 3hrs. labor and this is a link to about what the are paying for the part. Guess you have to decide on the price.

List price for the 4 wheel abs hub is $247.98 and for the truck with only Rear ABS is $269.98 you can get them fot alot less than that from our site. www.TascaParts.com
You need to figure he's getting around $300 or so for labor if they are using the fatory parts.

I had my passenger side one changed w. my brother and it went out again after only 8,000 miles... took it back to the dealer and they replaced it a second time 2,000 miles ago ($279 part, + $250 labor). I`m still waiting for the warranty refund they said they'd give me on the first one...
