I believe APT is right. I don't know about your area, but I've only seen one in person and it belongs to some friends from another state. So, it may be hard to find a used one.

2006 model year leases have been expiring for a while now, so they should start showing up on used car lots or auctions I would think......

I searched Autotrader.com and got 30 hits nation wide for a Screw 4x4 with 6.5 foot bed. (That's not a lot of trucks is it!)

OK, thanks. I'll be looking for a King Ranch 6.5 ft bed with all the bells and whistles - might be looking for a while, eh?

I think it depends where you are located. I bought my 2006 Screw in August 2006. i looked everywhere in los angeles for one with the 6.5 ft bed and couldnt find any. i ended up getting one in Reno, NV and they had a bunch on the lot up there with the 6.5.

If you will be waiting for a while, why not wait until April of 2009, I'll be ready to trade off my 2008. I should take delivery of it in a couple weeks. By April of next year, it will have around 50k on it, but it will be immaculate and well maintained.

Mid 2006 is when they started offering the 6.5 bed on the Screws. However, they did not start "catching on" until around mid 2007, as prior to that you will not see many at all with the 6.5 bed.

Ameration,

I remember when you got your truck. I drooled over it then. Now, with those wheels, it looks even better. Good job!

Yea 6.5 beds are hard to find. When I bought my 07 about a year ago there were none on the lot.

It was mid-2006 like everyone said.

It will take some searching to find one - but it's worth the wait, you'll love it.

I love mine
