My 2005 SCREW does not engage the 4wheel drive when I turn the ****??? Is this a common problem or am I looking at a spendy fix???

Yea this is pretty common with any electronic 4wd regardless if Ford, Chevy, etc. The manual 4wd shifter is the way to go. Unfortunately I believe you have to order them like that.

 

its a common problem if it a manual t-case also. the common culprit is the IWE solinoid which both the manual and electric have. there is a new desighn IWE solinoid to prevent water from getting into it. plenty of posts on this site about it.

 

We sell the IWE solenoid all the time....
