Installed 2" AS (PICS)

Like the title says. Took me a little over two hours solo. Pretty easy. Now I just have to get it aligned.

Before:

After:

Glad I went with the 2" instead of the 2.5! Now I just need these new tires to wear down fast so I can get some 305/65/18's!

rudeskawn,

What year is your truck?
Did you happen to take before and after measurements?

The couple of people that have had torn boots I am willing to bet that it was ripped during istallation or they just hit a stick or something that had torn it. The just the angles alone are not enough to tear the boots. If so everytime someone hit a bump and was turning those things would be toast.

Rudeskawn, The truck looks great. Nice choice.

FX4Screwdude- My truck is an '05. I wish I would have taken before and after measurements but I didn't. Sorry.

hmfic- Thanks for answering all of my questions! The 2" was the right choice for sure. Now I just need your AT's...

I agree, to say " allot " is a huge stretch. I would guess the ones that have had issues resulted from an installation problem or extreme off roading. Had my 2.5" AS for two years now and not one problem.

There are probably more people without troube from level kit than there are from people that do have trouble. My truck has almost 45000 miles on level kit and rides and drives like when new.I think some of the "trouble" comes from people that mess the boot up during the install. I have heard some people say it wears out your all-joints but I would have to say no, from my experience. BTW truck looks great, and drive and enjoy new stance . Boyd
