01 supercrew towing

Hello,
I just purchased a 05 Eclipse Attitude 23FSAK toy hauler (5550 uvw)
I have a 01 Supercrew 5.4, 3.55 LS, 33" load range E tires, 6" RCD lift/Bilstein shocks, EQ hitch and a Prodigy brake control. Can this truck pull this weight packed with 3 quads (1050} gear, food
and 20 gallons of fuel?

I will have myself, wife, son and tools (220,125,110} in the truck.
I will also fill the water when i get to the camp ground.
I will only be towing this 4 times a year for 400 miles round trip each and a handfull of trips to the lake with no quads 60 miles round trip.

Do you think i should regear or move up to a 3/4 ton diesel/v10?

I use the truck for long trips buy itself once in a while also.

Thanks

There's no doubt that a larger truck/engine would be more efficient and less strain, however, for that limited amount of towing, and distance, you should be fine. I wouldn't regear, myself.

Take it easy, and drive safe.

Have fun.

Lowered 3/3 and still towed like a champ!

If there are any hills I would say throw a set of 4:10 or 4:56 and you should be stright. If there are no hill then you should be good just take your time. And remember trailers always end up weighing more then you think after hulling all of your champing gear and junk. I know toy haulers even the little ones are heavy little suckers.

You'll be fine. It will tow it well. Worst scenario is you take her out of o/d. I think others are somewhat conservative.
