Tailgate hardware and cables
Hi All,
My 2001 SCREW has fairly worn tailgate hardware and cables. The local dealerships want about $80.00 for 2 new cables and the 4 bolts. Of interest to note is that the dealership has different part numbers for the supercrew cables vs. all the other f150's as well as a different part # for the left and right side. The hardware also has different part #'s. Has anyone ever replaced these items and where did you locate them. Thanks...T

I'm guessing the part #s are different because the bed is only 5 and 1/2 feet, insted of the standard 6 or 6 and 1/2 on the regular cabs and Scabs.
Check out ebay and also I thought someone said there was a good ford parts website, don't no the name of it though. Try doing a search, you'll find it.
