Door codes - DS keypad

Howdy 'yall...
Alright - it's been a while since I've posted here... just picked up an '04 SuperCrew (looovin it), but the dealer didn't have the code for the keypad on the DS. I know I can pull the back seat out and there's a sticker on the driver side, but I also know it can be read from the computer.

I have the interface that links my OBD-II system to my laptop, all the Ford codes and such, but to save me some disassembly time, does anyone know what the ID number would be for the door code?

I mean, if I HAVE to pull the seat I will, but I'd rather be concentrating on getting some upgrades installed than pulling out the d$#n seat

Thanks!
~J

The dealer should be able to plug something in and read the code for you - we couldn't locate the door sticker when I bought my F150 so they did it for me. I bet if you go back where you bought it and get the salesman involved you'll have the door code in no time!

The owner's manual had it written down in my truck.

Did you buy it new or used?

Under the dash, above the brake peddle is an electronic box, on that box very clearly visible is a number, mine happens to be be 5 digits. That is the code to the door. Another member on here showed it to me and it works great. Hope it helps. My screw is a 2001, might be different, but worth a try. Good luck

See if this thread works, it is the picture that was sent to me.

I bought my truck used and the code card wasnt in the owners manual. I didn't feel like pulling out the back seat, so I just had the dealer plug in their computer and pull off the code for me. They did it free of charge

If you've never done it before it'll probably take you longer than 40 minutes (drive there any back) to figure it all out... that is if you're careful and slow about it. If you're like I was with my last truck, hit the driveway with a socket set/tool chest and go at it!

I guess it wasn't too bad. probably 20min-1/2 hr. not too bad. It's kinda dificault getting it out, but it was worth it. Here is how to take it out if you didn't already know.
