is this possible

my friend has an 02 screw 4x4 and he says he is fitting 34'' super swampers with no lift and without cranking his torsion bars. I told him it was bs but he says he did it. Havent seen the truck yet but i tried to tell him he would have problems. what kind of problems would he have?

On a 01 it will take a 6" lift just to run 35s and another 3" body lift to run 38s. Take him to your local 4wd shop and let them explain. The problems he will have is fender and frame rub, also reduced turning radius. Check here in the supension sections and see the posts on he amount of lift these guys have done and the size tire they are running. They all are running the biggest tire to the size lift they have put on.

That has to be crap. I was going to put 34" Maxxis Buckshots (305-70/17) on my 02 F150 Screw FX4, but I knew they'd rub up front. Furthermore, there would have been only 1" of clearance between the rear tire and the corner of the factory fender flare where it tucks up under the bed. That would have rubbed also, had I had anything in the bed. I went with 33" (285-70/17) Maxxis Buckshots instead. No rubbing, and plenty of clearance all around.
