Ready to lvl a 2wd
Ready to lvl a 2wd
Hey people,
After reading a bunch of threads, and finally having the $100 to buy a leveling kit for my truck , i just have a couple of questions.
I have a 2wd screw with the larger 5.4l engine, 18" rims stock wheels.
Should I get the 2.5 or 2.0 inch lvl kit?
I do not plan on towing anything, and i do not put heavy loads in the rear.
I would like to go high I don't mind if the front is a little higher, I could always put an AAL in the rear (just wont happen right away).
Or since I have a 2wd truck will the front end be way higher and look kinda stupid?
I will not be changing the tires any time soon (they are brand new).
thanks any input would be great. I have both the AS 2" and the 2.5" on my watch list and ready to buy it know just still not sure which one to get.
thanks Kevin

The best thing to do is to park your truck on a flat level area, then measure from the ground up to the bottom of the fender at it's highest point, front and rear on one side, this will tell you how much differance there is. This is what I did before I leveled my 97 2wd. Personally I prefer level instead of front higher, but that's my opinion you do what ever your preferance is. Thing one thing I didn't know was that my truck allready had a 1/2" spacer on top of the coil springs and you can't stack the rubber spacers. So my truck still needs like 3/8" to be level but it's so close unless you put a tape measure on it it's no really noticeable.
