New to Fords

Hey all,
I just bought a 05 Supercrew and i love it. I was a Dodge man but there is somthing about the supercrews i had to have. well i bought the premuim ford warranty and the maintenace plan. does ford tell you when to get your oil changed or should i go in there when i hit 3000 miles like normal?
also could you tell me what is all done at the normal oil service. is there anything else i should know about the (truck, warranty, or service plan?)
Thanks again for your help this site is great.

I am not trying to be a smart A** but you can read? Right.
What deductable level did you go for?
What are the specific rules for the state you live in?
I don't think you need to change oil at 3k intervals to meet warrenty. 5K is good enough. If you change oil and filter, keep the purchuse slips and mileage you changed at and save all of them as proof.
etc.
If I had a copy of your warrenty I could tell you more.

Thanks Bluegrass,
I guess i can read what the warranty covers because i received the shiny paper that tells me about it. I was wondering about the maintenace plan because i didn't get any thing telling me what to do for it. I have a $100 deductable for the warranty. Nothing abnormal for my state. As for the 5k advice thank you.

For my 2003, I got a blue book entitled Scheduled Maintenance Plan which is seperate from your owner's manual. If you got a packet of brochures and booklets in a zip-up carrier not much larger than your owner's manual, look in there. If you definitely know you dont have such just call the dealer up and ask them. It better be free, no reason for them to charge you. However, a quick search on the web found this pdf, give it a look for your year model: http://www.troy-ford-extended-warran.../qcmppcare.pdf

Hope that helps
