Hey guys,

I just bought a 2004 F150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 and the backup sensors only work half the time. When I put it in reverse, the light on the Park Assist button immediately turns on, showing that their off, and I cannot turn them back on until I turn the truck off again. Any advice to fix it myself? I have an extended warranty, but would rather not have to take it in. I love the site! Glad to be here. Thanks!!

 

when i bought mine new it did the same thing would work sometimes only, and the light would come on, turned out to be the speaker itself that was shot, the box is underneath the dash, just above the brake pedal but on the floorboard.

 

Odd.. I've never had a problem with mine, does anyone know if this is a known issue with the F150? I would imaging it's an easy fix..

 

I took it in to the dealership and they ran a diagnostic on it. After I had to pay 56.95 for them to confirm what I already knew (something is wrong), it turns out one of the sensors is shorting out. Where can I get cheap replacement parts? Anyone know of a junkyard in the dallas area that may have these?
