Bought my first mod today

My neigbor works for a Truck customizing company, so he gets parts and accessories at cost. Today I had him bring me home an LED light bar. I even got the snazzy upscale model that turns white with the reverse lights.

Bought it yesterday, chickened out today. The LED bar I bought is the 60" White Lightning model, which would require 1) splicing into the reverse lights; 2) cutting off the pin on the bottom of the tailgate. Not happening. Oh well.

The White Lightning fits without cutting or removing the pin on the bottom of the tailgate. You can simply unscrew the pin if you want. Most of the new trucks don't even have the pin... just the hole it screws into.

You don't have to splice into the reverse lights to use the bar for all the other features. But if you want reverse the supplied wire tap supplied makes the mod child's play.

I wish someone would feel sorry for me and give me a set of HD wheels.

The bar I had was the White Lightning. It would not fit, centered, with the pin and hole in their current locations.
It's all moot now. I gave it back to my buddy to take it back. I'm just not willing to cut/saw/splice/etc. on a brand new truck that has less than 1,000 miles on it. Maybe after I've had it for a while longer, but right now it's pristine, and I intend to keep it that way.

Mine is the White Lightning as well. At first I thought it would not fit without the mods you mentioned... but it fit perfectly.

Where did you get yours from? Are those white LED's on the side to light up the running boards?

www.realtruck.com

The side LEDs are amber and also tied into the running lights and turn signals.
