Disappearing Oil act-2002 5.4

Ok here’s the deal. My dad’s truck is a 2002 supercrew with the 5.4 with almost 200k miles on it. Every week for the past 2 wks, it is going through 2 quarts of oil. It’s not leaking it, underside is clean, concrete is clean, and as far as everyone can tell its not burning it, no trace in the exhaust, plugs not gummed up. The truck is running great except for the missing oil, what could be causing the problem? Between him, the mechanics and me, we are at a lose to figure it out. Please help.

10w-20 I think and its not syn.

Edit- A typical week is around 700 miles.

Probably valve guides and or valve guide seals, seen a fewer high-milage tritons with this issue... Put new ones in mine before the esp was up.....

Cheap and easy checks: Check the running temp/thermostat. Also, use a decent oil brand if you're not already. Cheaper oils will burn up at lower temps. Give a syn or a syn blend a shot and see if it helps. I had an '01 5.4L that consumed alot of oil and switching to syn stopped the problem. Outside of that you're looking at an internal piston blow-by or valve issue possibly.
