This is all bull. The wipers aren't worn. How about washing the windshield? would probably fix the problem. If it was on the rail car the grime probably messed up the windows.

They would be putting new ones on, period (if in fact they were bad).
Just so you know, this isn't my thread and I DID get good wipers on MY truck when I bought it.
