Is your truck a 4x4? If so, they should have come with it, no?

Darken,

Look at these. Several designs and colors already made up.

So you want to take your $35k shiney new 2wd truck and put tacky 50cent 4x4 stickers on it.

I removed those tacky things an hour after I bought my truck.

not meaning to hijack your thread but ...how bad were those 4x4 stickers to remove? any damage to the paint? someone told me the clear was sprayed over the sticker.....false i presume?

I took mine off. Just looks a lot cleaner plus when I wax the truck the sticker would get a white line around the sticker. Sticker is very easy to get off with a heat gun, hair drier, or even the sun beating on the truck for a little while will loosen up the glue and peel it off. Then wax the area.

I think the stickers are alright... At least that way everyone knows your rig is 4WD and not 2WD.... And I guess everyone also knows you're burning 2 mpg more... Damn that front Diff...

I always use a hair dryer to ease removal of the dealer label from the tailgate. It heats up the glue and they peel right off. Also works good on old bumper stickers and eliminates scraping. I thought about using this trick on the 4x4 decals, but like you I was told they were under the clearcoat. Obviously, I was afraid I'd really screw things up.
