Cheapest Mods so far accomplished today!

Well today the temp rised to 75 degrees, so I finally got to put a nice coat of wax on the 2007 SCREW.......stepped back.....NICE......Dark Blue Pearl......After that I had the dealer perform the first oil change at 3000mi, had a 1st., service comp coupon, I had them use 5w20 Mobil 1, I have to say that the 5.4 is quieter especially upon cold start up.......maybe I'll pickup another MPG?

Nice! I just gave my Dark Blue Pearl '07 S'crew it's first coat of wax. I'd say it came out nice, but it was pretty dark when I finished so I can't tell. I do have to say, I'm disappointed in Ford's paint. Maybe I got some sort of overspray or something on mine, but at not even a week off the lot with a few hundred miles on it, the paint is not smooth at all.

5,000 is the recommended interval but I'm a fan of changing it more often the first few times when new due to the break-in wear. It certainly won't hurt.

Lately, the dealers seem to recommend the first oil change at 3000 miles. The OEM filter from the factory is torqued down pretty tight, so I let the dealer have the honor of the first oil change. After that, go to the 5000 mile schedule.
